IIQE Results: How to Check, e-Cert & Re-sits
Updated
As at 1 Nov 2026, you check an IIQE or MPF exam result in PEAK's Exam Result Checking system. There is no password: you log in with four details from your enrolment. Results stay there for 3 months, and that is also your only window to download the e-Certificate.
When results come out
| How you sat | Result |
|---|---|
| Computer screen (CSME), IIQE or MPF | a provisional result on screen as soon as you finish; the Result Checking System and the e-Result from 1 hour after the session's designated end time |
| Pencil and paper (PPME), IIQE or MPF | the Result Checking System and the e-Result from the 5th full working day after the exam (excluding the exam date, Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays) |
| Remote (RIME), Papers 1 to 3 | a provisional result on screen at once; the Notification of Result from the 3rd full working day after the exam |
The on-screen result is for reference only; the Notification of Result is what counts.
How to check your result
Open the Exam Result Checking system on the PEAK Exam Centre website and enter:
- English name, as printed on your Hong Kong Identity Card or passport
- The first 4 characters (letters or digits) of your HKID or passport number
- The examination date
- The examination paper
PEAK does not give results by phone, fax or email. Use the system, and keep your enrolment details exactly as you typed them.
The e-Certificate: download it within 3 months
- For exams held on or after 1 Sep 2025, a pass earns an e-Certificate only; no printed certificate is issued.
- It downloads with the e-Result, and both disappear from the system 3 months after the exam date. Save a copy the day your result comes out: your principal and the licence application need it.
- Missed the window? Apply for a printed reissue on form EC-201: HK$100 for a Notification of Result or HK$200 for a certificate, per copy, ready in about 7 working days.
Re-marking
- HK$500 per paper, requested within two weeks after the issuance date of the Notification of Result. Send a written request to the PEAK Exam Centre with a crossed cheque or cashier's order payable to "Vocational Training Council", per paper.
- The fee is refunded only if the original result is found incorrect.
- The answer comes in writing within one month of the request; PASS or FAIL only, and final.
Before you pay for a re-mark
Re-sitting a failed paper
- Waiting period: none set in the handbooks. You can book the next session with seats.
- Paper-based: no more than one PPME session of the same paper in the same calendar week.
- Computer-based: no enrolling twice in the same CSME session of the same paper.
- Remote (RIME): no more than one RIME session of the same paper in the same month.
- Cost: each attempt is a new enrolment at the full fee. See current IIQE fees.
Passed a RIME paper? Within 18 months you must also attend PEAK's tailor-made course for that paper or pass the paper at a centre, or the licence it supports expires (RIME Handbook §2.1.6).
